A wedding of considerable interest to Gracemere and district was solemnised at the Warwick Methodist Church on January 28th last, by the Rev. Rycroft, the contracting parties being Mr. Clyde C. Clow, second son of the late Mr. and Mrs. C. Clow, Condon, Oregon, U.S.A, and Miss Jean Adeline Sivyer, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. Sivyer, Glenbar, Warwick. The bride was given away by her father. The bridesmaid was Miss Olive Sivyer, sister of the bride. Little Miss Bertha
Tucker was trainbearer. Mr. J. Sorensen (West Australia), was best man.
The wedding breakfast was held at Glenbar, the residence of the bride's parents, where over 50 guests were present. The room was decorated with the Stars and Stripes of America, and the table decorations was carried out with red, white, and blue salvias. The gifts were both numerous and costly, including several cheques. Until about 18 months ago Mr. Sivyer held the position of studgroom at Archer Brothers, and he left to take up a similar position at Glenbar, Warwick.
