Thomas Southwell SNR immigrated on 27 Nov 1838 to Sydney, New South Wales, on board the "Lady Nugent", having sailed from London on 23 July 1838 with his wife and a son and daughter both under the age of 7 years. He was to be employed by Mr Tooth of Sydney, for One Pound per week without rations.
Thomas Southwell SNR married Mary Roffe, daughter of Edward Roffe and Sarah Gibbs, on 19 Apr 1853 in Cobbitty, New South Wales, and it is reported that Thomas was a widower, with eight children.
Thomas Southwell SNR died on 31 May 1881 in Ginnindera Creek, New South Wales, at the age of 68 a son of Samuel and Ann J. Southwell.

James Holgate
James Holgate married Maria Foster in Jul 1827. James Holgate was described as having a dark ruddy complexion,brown hair, hazel eyes and 5' 5" tall. Distinguishing feature - scar under right eye, perpendicular scar on centre of forehead with sc arson centre chin and over left eyebrow. Top of finger missing on right hand. It is recorded that he could read but not write in 1834.
James Holgate immigrated on 29 Sep 1835 to Sydney, New South Wales, on board the England II along with some 230 other convicts. He was assigned to farm duties in the Campbelltown district.
James Holgate died on 9 Jul 1886 in Gunning, New South Wales, at the age of 79 a son of Joseph Holgate.
He was buried in Dalton, New South Wales, in the family plot.
