      Francis Joseph Dean was born on 25 Mar 1914 in Traralgon, Victoria, a son of Joseph and Katherine (née Randall) Dean. Francis Joseph Dean was also known as Frank.

He began military service about 1940 and served as a Trooper in the Australian Infantry Forces in New Guinea and Borneo.

Francis Joseph Dean married Betty Joan Fairhall, daughter of William Joseph Claude Fairhall and Eliza Alice Cole, on 18 Dec 1945 at St John's Church in Vacy, New South Wales.
Francis was reemployed in his pre-war job with the Victorian Railways, so the family moved house several times and eventually bought their home at Macleod VIC, which remained the family home until around 1990.
Francis was the Public Relations Manager (until ill-health forced his retirement in 1971) at Victorian Railways in Melbourne, Victoria.

      Ricardo James Gori was born on 2 Apr 1923 in Abercrombie, Lancashire.
Ricardo James Gori lived with his parents, sister and brother at Cheshire.

He began military service in 1940 with the Royal Marines, spending over five years with the Royal Navy. He served in many fields of the war including convoy duty in the mediterranean to supply Malta where his ship, "HMS Hermione" was eventually sunk with the loss of 130 lives of his shipmates. He survived and continued convoy duty, first on the dreaded Murmansk run to take supplies to Russia, then around the coast of Africa and across the Atlantic, including taking his damaged ship to Norfolk VA, USA, for repairs. He came to Australia in 1944 with the Royal Navy to continue the war against Japan.
Ricardo James Gori decided to stay in Australia once the war ended, and followed a range of pursuits, including studying the cello at Sydney Conservatorium, jackerooing on a property in western NSW, working with delinquent youths and finally being employed by Australian National Airways (ANA) as Paymaster and Personnel Officer.
Reg then decided to prepare for ministry in the Anglican Church, and commenced training at St John's Theological College at Morpeth NSW, following which he was ordained in 1952. He served in the parishes of Armidale, Tamworth and Delungra in NSW, and Flinders and Red Cliffs in Victoria.
For several years he worked in Melbourne as a Hospital and Gaol Chaplain in 1945. His name was legally changed to Rev. Reginald James Gorrie.
Reginald was ordained as a Deacon in the Church of England at St Peter's Cathedral in Armidale, New South Wales, on 14 Dec 1952.

Rev. Reginald James Gorrie married Bessie Muriel Fairhall, daughter of William Joseph Claude Fairhall and Eliza Alice Cole, on 18 Aug 1953 in Vacy, New South Wales.
Rev. Reginald James Gorrie moved with his family to Adelaide in 1969, where he worked full time in social work, as well as doing weekend church duties. His final appointment was Senior Probation and Parole Officer with the SA Dept of Correctional Services, and during this time he completed a Diploma of Social Work at the University of South Australia.
Reginald and Muriel lived at 23 Clinton Avenue in Myrtle Bank, South Australia, in 2007.

Rev. Reginald James Gorrie died on 4 Feb 2017 at the Royal Adelaide Hospital in Adelaide, South Australia, at the age of 93.
