It is with regret that we have to record the death of a very old and respected resident in the
person of Mr. Vivian Graham, of South Gundurimba, whose death took place on Wednesday,
14th. The deceased was well -known in the district, where he carried on dairying for the past
15 years, and by his affable disposition and upright character he won the the highest esteem of
all who knew him. The late Mr. Graham came to this country from England sixty years ago,
and was employed as manager for Mr. Hargaves, of New England, for a period of 10 years.
From there he purchased a station of his own and followed pastoral pursuits for a number of
years, but owing to drought and hard times he was obliged to sell at considerable loss.
He next came to the Richmond River, and was engaged in dairying at the time of his death.
He leaves a family of three sons and five daughters to mourn their loss, vis.: Gordon (Coffs
Harbour), Alexander (Lismore) Vivian (Gundurimba), and Mrs. J. McRae (New England), Mrs
Thompson (Corndale), Mrs Pearce (Sydney) Mrs Egan (South Lismore) and Mrs Butt
(Gundurimba). The remains were interred in the Presbyterian Portion of the general cemetery,
the Rev. A. M. Gould conducting the service at the grave, and Mr. H. Klein had charge of the
