      Allan Trevor Betts was born on 1 Aug 1923 in Bowraville, New South Wales.

He began military service on 18 May 1942 in Kempsey, New South Wales, in the Australian Army, Serial No. N29051 as a Gunner in the 154 Light Anti-Aircraft Battery RAA, taken on strength 6 June 1942.
On 5 July he arrived at Merauke in New Guinea on board the "Van Der Lijn". He seemed to have suffered in the tropics, and on 2 Dec. he was flown to Townsville and then transferred to the 114 General Hospital at Goulburn.
He went AWL from the Hospital on 1 Jan. 1945, an inquiry finding that he had died of head injuries early the next morning on the Sydney-Goulburn railway line.

Allan Trevor Betts died on 2 Jan 1945 at the Military Hospital in Goulburn, New South Wales, at the age of 21.
He was buried at the General Cemetery (Grave location recorded as: Plot G. Row B. Grave 1) in Goulburn, New South Wales.
