MR. HENRY BANNERMAN.
There passed away at his residence at Greenhill on Saturday last Mr. Henry Bannerman, aged 74 years, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Bannerman, of Sherwood, where he was born. Deceased followed the occupation of a coachbuilder and learned his trade with the late Edgar Coleman, of Kempsey, and also worked with Riley Bros., of the Casino district. He was a master of his profession, and obtained numerous prizes for coachbuilding work. When 24 years of age he married Miss Annie Sillitoe, of Belgrave Falls. After their marriage the couple resided for three years at West Kempsey, and then removed to the Bellinger and later to Grafton, where they lived for 13 years.
Thirty-one years ago they returned to Kempsey, where they have since resided. Deceased was of an inventive turn of mind, and designed and constructed several labor-saving devices.
He retired from active business some ten years ago. He is survived by his widow, three daughters and two sons.
The daughters are Mesdames Max Goedecke (West Kempsey), Patrick McKiernan (Gladstone) and James Dickson (Kendall), and the sons Messrs. Arthur Bannerman (Toorooka) and Stanley Bannerman (Eungai). A third son was killed in action at Bullecourt during the Great War.
Messrs. Angus Bannerman (West Kempsey) and Arthur Bannerman (Sherwood) are brothers, and Mrs. Catherine Fitzgerald (Greenhill) is a sister of the deceased. The funeral, under the direction of Mr. Jos. T. Walker, took place on Monday from deceased's late residence, where Ven. Archdeacon Tress conducted a service, at the conclusion of which the cortege proceeded to West Kempsey Church of England cemetery, where the remains were interred in the presence of a large assemblage of relatives and friends. Ven. Archdeacon Tress officiated at the graveside.

He was buried on 14 Jun 1937 at the Church of England Cemetery in West Kempsey, New South Wales.
